Gina Alexis is founder and president of The Alexis Group Consultants. Gina has extensive experience in corporate and product positioning, issues management, public issues research, media relations and professional and consumer education. Prior to founding The Alexis Group, Gina held senior positions with major marketing communications firms in New York City.
She has managed marketing communications programs for clients in the financial services, consumer products, food and beverage industries and more. Gina has extensive healthcare and medical marketing experience with ethical products in diverse specialties ranging from cardiology, oncology and psychiatry to allergy and immunology.
She has developed communications programs for biotechnology, medical device and regulatory compliance companies.
Gina is a past Chairman of BioFlorida, the state affiliate of the Biotechnology Industry Organization(BIO) and is the current Co-Chair of the Southeast Chapter. She is a member of the education committee of the BioFlorida Institute, an initiative to engage and inspire students to pursue a bioscience career, support workforce development, offer professional training and serve as an information clearing house. In addition, Gina has been instrumental in the launch of Florida’s first BioGENEius Challenge, the nations’ most prestigious
high school biotechnology research competition.
Gina
serves on the board of directors and is the Marketing Committee Chairperson of the Greater
Palm Beach Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Additionally, she is the civilian Commander of the Hallandale
Beach Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), a disaster preparedness program.
Gina co-founded the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Biomedical Task
Force and also served on the advisory committee for One
Community One Goal, a public-private partnership working with industry
and educators to develop high-school curriculum.
Gina holds a B.A. in communications from City University of New York.
Neil Salzman
is co-founder and vice president of The Alexis Group. Neil has extensive experience in product launches, strategic counseling, product positioning and media relations. He has created communications programs for a diverse client base. In New York City, prior to co-founding The Alexis Group, Neil also held senior positions with several major marketing firms.
A hands-on strategist, Neil guides clients through the initial planning phase, helping them to establish goals, identify challenges and target audiences. He develops strategies and communications programs to meet client objectives.
Neil has managed marketing programs for financial services, food and beverage, insurance and consumer products clients. Additionally, his healthcare and medical communications programs have reached special populations including nuclear cardiologists, physician assistants, and the elderly. As a consultant to medical and dental practices, Neil designs and implements practice-building programs.
Neil also served as consultant for the Florida Women's Business Center, an organization that provides business management and technical assistance services in partnership with the Small Business Association.
Neil holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in education from Indiana University.
